Deze magische winterwondertuin, bekend als “De mooiste tuin van Nederland”, behoort tot het landgoed De Wiersse in de Achterhoek. Volgens de akte bestaat dit landgoed sinds 1288, en wordt al sinds 1678 bewoond en beheerd door een familie, wat tegenwoordig zeldzaam is voor Nederlandse buitenhuizen.
De huidige bewoners houden erg veel van hun tuinen en zijn er dan ook erg trots op. Zo trots dat ze de tuinen een paar keer per jaar openstellen voor bezoekers, in het voorjaar en in het najaar.
De tuin bestaat uit meerdere tuinen die allemaal verschillend zijn, zo is er een oude rozentuin, ontworpen door jonkvrouw Alice de Stuers. Ook is er een grote moestuin, met prachtige veldbloemen en een speciaal ontworpen “lage tuin”, met borders vol bloemen en beschermde koningsvarens.
Hoe mooi de tuin in de winter ook is, deze prachtige planten en bloemen zijn onder deze laag poedersneeuw helaas niet zo goed te zien. Gelukkig heeft Brosis ook de eer gehad deze tuin in de volle voorjaarsbloei te fotograferen, de foto’s zullen snel verschijnen op Brosis Productions, dus hou de site in de gaten!
Wander through a magical winter wonderland garden
This magical winter wonderland garden, known as “The most beautiful garden in the Netherlands”, belongs to the estate De Wiersse in the Achterhoek. According to the deed itself, this estate exists since 1288, and has been inhabited since 1678 and managed by a family, which is rare nowadays for Dutch country houses.
The current owners really love their gardens and are therefore very proud. So proud, that they open up the gardens a few times a year for visitors, in spring and in autumn.
The garden consists of several gardens which are all different, for instance there is an old rose garden, designed by the noble lady Alice Stuers. There is also a large vegetable garden, with beautiful wild flowers and a specially designed “low garden”, with borders of flowers and protected king ferns.
How beautiful the garden in winter is, under these layers of snow powder, there is not much to see of these beautiful plants and flowers. Fortunately Brosis also had the honor to photograph this garden in full spring bloom, the photos will soon appear on Brosis Productions, so keep an eye on this site!
