Iford Manor, een parel in de prachtige groene omgeving van Bath. Dit bijzondere landgoed stamt uit de Middeleeuwen, maar de klassieke gevel is pas in de achttiende eeuw toegevoegd, op het moment dat het bosgebied boven de tuin werd aangelegd. De mooie Italiaanse tuin van het Engelse landgoed wordt geroemd om haar elegante schoonheid, romantische terrassen en prachtige beeldhouwwerken. De tuin is ontworpen door de architect en tuinarchitect Harold Ainsworth Peto, hij was tevens de eigenaar van het landgoed tot 1933. Door Peto’s voorliefde voor Italiaanse tuinen, heeft hij de tuin ook zodanig ingericht, waar de bloemen een perfecte harmonie vormen met de cipressen, brede paden en de beelden. Tevens zijn er heel wat oorspronkelijke plantsoorten bewaard gebleven zoals de Wisteria sinensis, Phillyria, Buxus sempervirens, Italiaanse cipres, Hermerocalis citrina, de geurige dag lelie en de Martagon-lelies.
