Dit prachtige monumentale pand uit 1894 is gesitueerd in Haarlem, in een straat met mooie statige panden. Het huis is goed bewaard gebleven met fraaie authentieke details zoals de hoge ornamentenplafonds, de kamers-en-suite, glas en lood ramen, de lange gang van oud marmer en de prachtige houten visgraat vloer.
Het interieur is ingericht en gestyled door Choc Studio Interieur, een design bureau met een voorliefde voor Italiaans design en leefbare luxe. Voorheen was het pand één kleurrijk geheel, met koningsblauw en rood op de muren. De bewoners wilden toch een wat meer sobere en eigentijdse uitstraling, daarom is er gekozen voor warme grijs- en aardetinten op de muren, al het houtwerk werd wit gelaten.
De comfortabele bank in de woonkamer is van Verzelloni, en het eveneens comfortabele en warme vloerkleed van Mohawk. Dit bijzondere kleed is gemaakt van gerecyclede petflessen!
De parketvloer in het pand is volledig opgeschuurd en geolied. De keuken heeft moderne apparatuur en er staat een lange walnoten-houten tafel van Pilat en Pilat en is gedecoreerd met een antieke zilveren Marokkaanse waterkan. Vroeger werd bij rijke families op deze manier de rechterhand gewassen zowel voor als na het eten. Om de tafel staan stoelen van Metropole bekleed met de stof Romo.
Dit stijlvolle eigentijdse interieur is het enige wat dit prachtige historische pand nodig heeft om het te laten stralen!
Contemporary interior in a historic building
This beautiful historic building dating from 1894 is located in Haarlem, in a street with beautiful stately homes. The house is well preserved with beautiful original features including high ornamental ceilings, the rooms en suite, stained glass windows, a long narrow hallway of old marble and the beautiful wooden parquet flooring.
The interior is decorated and styled by Choc Studio Interior, an interior design agency with a passion for Italian design and livable luxury. Previously, the property was a colorful sight, with royal blue and red on the walls. The owners wanted a more sober and contemporary look, which is why they have chosen for warm gray and earth tones on the walls, all the woodwork was painted white.
The comfortable sofa in the living room is from Verzelloni, with the equally very comfortable and warm rug from Mohawk. This particular rug is made from recycled plastic bottles!
The parquet floor in the building is fully sanded and oiled. The kitchen has modern equipment with a long walnut-wood table of Pilat en Pilat, and is decorated with an antique Moroccan silver jug. Previously, this jug was used by wealthy families to wash the right hand before and after eating. Around the table are Metropole chairs coated with the fabric Romo.
This stylish contemporary interior is the only thing this beautiful historic building needs to shine!
